Fjord 39 XL: when a handover becomes a work of art

27 April 2026 is a date that will remain marked in the history of Mr. Blu Yacht & Ship. That day, a Fjord 39 XL covered its final miles by land along the roads of Savona before finally meeting its element: the sea. It wasn't just transport. It was, to all intents and purposes, a grand entrance.

This walkaround's journey had begun long before that Monday. Setting off from the HanseYachts AG plant in Greifswald, Germany, where Fjord Yachts are developed and built, the boat crossed Europe on an abnormal-load transport to reach the Savona quay. Here, at the Cantiere Tecnomare di Panizzi G. & C. Sas, the Mr. Blu team was waiting to begin painstaking, passionate work. Days of technical fitting-out, checks and testing that left nothing to chance.

Kevin Tommasini, Technical Manager, personally oversaw every stage of the inspection: from the millimetre-precise check of screws and connectors, to polishing the hull, to installing the radar system and testing the two Simrad screens that dominate the helm like a high-navigation control centre. The crane lift for launching, the tests of the underwater LED lights, the Besenzoni telescopic ladder, the application of the antifouling: every stage had its moment, its attention, its protocol. Four official Fjord documents — Dealer Offload Checklist, Dealer Make Ready Checklist, Handover Checklist and Acknowledgement of Receipt — certified every step. Not bureaucracy: a guarantee.

Pietro Lucchese, Sales Manager, oversaw the entire operation, working side by side with Giorgio Panizzi of Cantiere Tecnomare, ensuring that every client expectation was not only met but exceeded. Captain Luca Funghi took the walkaround out on the water for the sea trial, confirming excellent performance and impeccable dynamic behaviour. Full tank. Registration number XSUP 3926 D applied. Mr. Blu logo on board. The boat was ready.

From Savona, the Fjord 39 XL set course for Sardinia, bound for Poltu Quatu, for handover to GDA International Srl, who believed in the Fjord brand and in Mr. Blu. A trust that honours the whole team.
